“Essential Tarot” by Pablo Montt⁠⠀

This deck is about getting back to basics with the tarot. ⁠The focus of this deck is on colors and simplified symbology through the elemental suits. The images are set against two different archways to signify the portals through the major and minor arcana.⁠⠀

Throughout the deck there is a transition of colors as you journey through the arcana. The Fool card is completely grey to indicate the beginning of the journey; a clean slate if you will. The minor arcana suits are colored the same from Aces through the court cards. In a sense you can compare the color sequence with the numbers of each suit; this also applies within the major arcana color sequence. Each color transition relates to a new experience. It’s been suggested that the “Essential Tarot” can be used for chakra readings. Chose the first seven cards from a chosen suit and it will have the seven chakra colors that you can do a reading from. I like this as you could combine aura readings with color therapy.⁠⠀

If you already know the astrological sign/planet placements for the arcana then this could be a great tool for you. Though you may have to be a bit more “astrologically” creative with your readings. 😉 ⁠⠀
