Fixed Taurus (April 19th/20th-May 19th/20th) ruled by the sensual feminine inspired planet of Venus, Taurus is the sign of pleasures, hard work, and material wealth. This sign is influenced in the realm of the senses (touch, taste, sight, smell, and sound) for it has to have at least one of these neural senses triggered for a pleasurable response. Venus influences Taurus by connecting to things that feel satisfying at a personal level. This also applies to work and finances. Once there is a goal set you can guarantee that Taurus will follow through and complete it.. albeit in time and with patience. Determination, practical, honest, and obstinate in their ways are a few of the key characteristic traits that shape the personality of a Taurus sun sign.

During this first decan, the “Unified Esoteric Tarot” places “Earth in Taurus” indicating a time of “Steadiness” in our endeavors. In this decan, the Earth’s influence in Taurus is very much at home here within its ruling element. The spiritual element of Earth is of grounding and stability. It is creating and maintaining this level of solidity that will manifest a focussed direction toward ones goals. Be mindful of choices and actions made at this time as these will determine how one will fulfill their success. Any obstacles are best to be approached in a practical and direct manner and be aware of straying away from your intention as this will cause a delay in reaching that prized goal.

The “Five of Pentacles/Coins“ is the result of choices and actions that were made and how one has to work through their current situation to move ahead. At this time, there is a sense of loss and a lack of support. Normally, seen as a card of strife, and (self) deception these are temporary situations if one makes an effort to resolve the issue. Be honest within ones Self and not to get stuck in despair. This is about the “awareness” of the situation and its surrounding influences. “SEE” the resources that are around you that can inspire one to move on. It is right there. One just needs to be open to seeing that light of guidance.

The “Forest of Enchantment“ and “Pagan OtherWorlds” share a similar environment to the “Five of Pentacles”.
Both show a snowscape backdrop with barren trees. The mood is desolate and cold with limited external resources (pentacles/coins), but there are those few available resources to use toward a better direction. In what manner will you invest what little you have to make it worth your betterment? Be mindful and accept what opportunities are there in waiting.

The “Lumina Tarot” and the “Dreams of Gaia” show how the “Five of Pentacles” can be experienced through (self) deception and feeling disconnected from others and ones Self. The Dreams of Gaia is about deception and any selfish actions, (un) willingly, that may have been taken at the expense of others. The end result has caused pain, distrust, and disappointment. Watch for manipulative motives and keep your guard up. The Lumina Tarot is the result of not letting go and remaining confined to pain and sorrow. The apple is the key of health, abundance, and fertility; especially within the suit of pentacles. Here we see the apple core weakened and exposed. “Vulnerability” is the test of ones human will to survive and to regain the vitality that was once had to begin healing from the inside out.

The “Tarot of the Holy Light”⁠ has the “Five of Disks” showing the influences of desire versus responsibility. This is about ones own “free will” in seductive circumstances. There is a natural attraction and charm indicated within this card that is a reminder about making disciplined choices with a potential positive result. The Saturn in Taurus influence within this card is the key in taking control of our own free will and not to be persuaded by others. If we let our guard down, we then allow the manipulative factor of a unexpected negative situation to take over and to cause unrest. Remain steadfast in what you know and feel to be in your own best interest.

Use the guidance of the “Five of Pentacles“ as a means of bringing awareness to a situation that has been a cause for concern. Know that it will be time to move on and to remove any obstacles that were either made by you or through the actions of others. This is a calling to draw ones “personal will” to the forefront and to find the means of moving ahead with clarity and understanding. Find that endurance and determination that all will be resolved.
