“Emotional Nurturing and Surrender”
• Second Decan 10°-20° July 2nd – 12th
• Pluto in Cancer
• Fourth House of Home + Relationships
• Guided by the “Three of Cups“
Cardinal Cancer (June 20th/21st -July 19th/20th), ruled by the Moon, is the water influenced feminine sign of nurturing, protection, and instinct. Cancer is the emotional shapeshifter. Sympathetic and kind one moment and then temperamental and insensitive the next. These shifting moods show the powerful forces that are stirring inside. And that impenetrable exterior Cancer shell is there to defend anyone from reaching their deepest emotions. Patience and understanding is needed when winning the trust and loyalty of a sensitive Cancer.
In this second decan with “Pluto in Cancer”, the “Unified Esoteric Tarot” indicates a time of “Caring and Giving”. Pluto’s deconstructive and transformative qualities can potently change the nurturing and protective nature of Cancer out of its emotional comfort zone to take a personal risk for the betterment of themselves and those they hold near and dear. Cancers are known not to openly embrace any forms of change, but if they can welcome these shifts around them they will find the support needed which can win the trust of any Cancer.
The “Three of Cups“ can be seen as sharing a celebratory moment of success with those who have shown encouragement along the way. Ideally, this is about community support at an emotional level. The actions taken up to this moment are the results of being mindful and trusting those gut instincts. In turn, this can further open the pathway for greater possibilities.
The “Dreamkeepers Tarot” personifies the Three of Cups through “rebirth and transformation”.There has been a prosperous outcome through ones hard effort and work. The risks, investments, and shifts have all earned their own merit. This is a well deserved moment to show what has manifested through this journey. The connections with those who have been supportive has grown fonder with much joy and love to be shared. The “Three Graces” shown represent the manifesting attributes of “charm, beauty, and creativity” during this time in the journey.
The “Lumina Tarot” depicts the Three of Cups in an expansive manner of how following and trusting what you believe in will lead to greater results. Moving outside of your own boundaries to explore these possibilities is key in attaining the joy and love of what is currently being manifested. Others will see this progression and will connect with you through the heart for additional support. During this time, remember those who have stood by you when you first began to manifest your truest desire.
The “Tarot of the Holy Light” shows the Three of Cups in the esoteric realm as transforming the energies of wrath into love. These are the opposing forces when it comes to achieving the purest form of love. Fully surrender the soul through pain and suffering (wrath) and being honest in what is being revealed (flames) and allowing the heart to see the truth in the matter. Light is shed upon the soul to ultimately experience love in all of its forms. Jupiter in Cancer becomes challenged by the detriment of the Moon in Scorpio. Cancer’s intuitive nature is best to wait and let the dark intense energy of Scorpio to reveal the core of the issue, purge and release before any healing begins.
Use the “Three of Cups“ as a reminder of taking the time to enjoy what has been successfully accomplished thus far. With the welcome love and support of those around you there is the potential of a greater outcome. Follow your heart and be open to what lies ahead, whether positive or negative.
✶Please note! The assigned astrological decan on the featured tarot cards does not correspond with the current astrological sign and planet placement. The “Unified Esoteric Tarot” has its own astrological correspondences that are used as guides within each card when doing a reading. In addition, the Golden Dawn has its own system of astrological correspondences that I will make specific reference too when doing tarot astrology readings. These correspondences are found primarily in the Thoth Tarot and other similar inspired traditional decks.
