“Victory and Self Responsibility”

• Second Decan 10°-20°  August 3rd – 12th

• Jupiter in Leo

• Fifth House of Creativity & Pleasure

• Guided by the “Six of Wands“

Fixed Leo (July 19th/20th-Aug.20th/21st), ruled by the Sun, is the fiery masculine sign of loyalty, generosity, and pleasure.
A Leo’s driving force comes from within their courageous heart. When challenges occur, Leo will be right there to supportively move through the trials and tribulations with confidence. Where does this inner Strength come from? It comes from the self confidence in what they are investing their personal time in. It has to motivate a Leo to see the potential of growth in a situation. They are very proud individuals and their natural sense of leadership and charisma is what draws many to them. Never the one to shun a moment of attention, a Leo will face any opportunity that motivates their inner desires. Having moments of recognition is truly appreciated from this astrological sign of courage and trust. Though their ‘ego’ needs to be under a watchful eye so that it doesn’t steer Leo away from their goal.

In this second decan with “Jupiter in Leo”, the Unified Esoteric Tarot indicates the action of “Challenges”.
Jupiter’s optimistic and expansive energy motivates the sign of Leo to directly take on any confrontation with fortitude and dignity. It can also represent the “falling into luck” of those who are not experienced to handle the power of leadership that has been given to them. This “challenge” becomes one that can lead to an untamed ego and causing strife within the confine of their environment. It is managing this energy in such a way that Jupiter and Leo can rise to a moment of great accomplishment that can be supported by everyone.

The “Six of Wands“ is about the momentary (public) recognition of ones effort toward success and their leadership.
The skill and hard work toward your endeavor has been acknowledged. A trust and confidence in your authority has proven successful. You may have encountered challenges along the way, courageously faced them, and are ready to move forward with this new sense of self confidence and apply it to where it is best suited. The “laurel wreath” and raised Wands indicate the honorable earning of your efforts and the well received respect of others. Know that this is temporary and move forward from the heart.

The “Oak Ash and Thorn” & “Nature Spirit Tarot” both depict the Six of Wands in the realm of nature. The Nature Spirit Tarot shows the natural beauty of the Six of Wands through the attainment of success through “higher spiritual ideals”. The key lies in remaining optimistic and positive in your endeavors through the guidance of the Moth. The magnolia is a reminder to trust in your own integrity and tenacity. Know that you can achieve your goals and evolve spiritually to become “one” in your environment.
The Oak Ash and Thorn shows the Fox being held in high regard in its leadership. This highly witted creature represents swift action and adhering to wise choices that has led in its direction of accomplishment. The support of the community has been inspiring and a transformative means of encouragement to continue forward.

The “Dreams of Gaia” shows the Six of Fire as a means of meditating between differences to reach an agreement. Opposing forces are seen coming to a mutual understanding through the guidance of an arbitraitor. Ideally, if a concession can be achieved the matter can lie to rest, but here a mediator is represented to put harmony into the situation. This external influence is the “strength and self confidence represented to place harmony into a challenged situation. This spiritual centered individual has the knowledge and guidance to absolve any imbalances. In turn, possibly inspiring the situation to reconcile and see their differences in a positive light, instead of one fueld with obstacles.

The “Tarot of the Holy Light” takes an esoteric perspective of the Six of Wands as the success that comes through being of service to others. It is this commitment and desire to act in the betterment of others that in turn will benefit one’s Self. This is the path of personal growth and challenges that the “free will” may encounter in many circumstances. How much of your own “selfless actions” are you willing to share so that you don’t lose connection to your authentic Self?
The Lion represents the ego as the collective conscious Self; while the Eagle represents the wisdom and freedom attained in remaining (spiritually) independent. These two opposing forces of Will have to be delegated to create a symbiosis to the higher Self.

Use the “Six of Wands“ as guidance toward perseverance and self confidence in your endeavors. Thus far, much has been accomplished with more to be done, though take a moment to appreciate the recognition that has been given to you. The support of those around you is inspiring and showing encouragement to pursue your calling. Embrace the moment and continue ahead with steady and wise momentum!

Please note! The assigned astrological decan on the featured tarot cards does not correspond with the current astrological sign and planet placement. The “Unified Esoteric Tarot” has its own astrological correspondences that are used as guides within each card when doing a reading. In addition, the Golden Dawn has its own system of astrological correspondences that I will make specific reference too when doing tarot astrology readings. These correspondences are found primarily in the Thoth Tarot and other similar inspired traditional decks.
