The focus for this meditative reading is on the energies for the upcoming months of January (Capricorn) early Winter, February (Aquarius) mid Winter season, and March (Pisces) late Winter. I chose the decks of the “Wildwood Tarot” and the “Witches Oracle” by Sally Morningstar as counsel guides to usher in Yule and the Winter energies. I called upon the “Witches Oracle” as the key action for each month and the “Wildwood Tarot” as the overall energy of that month.
For the month of January/Capricorn, the early winter journey welcomes the key action of Self Cleansing (“Broomstick”).

The spiritual (cleansing) energy of the “Broomstick”, also known as a “Besom”, is a “initiating tool” (similar to the tarot suit of Wands) of taking action to clear away negative energy and/or sources that are no longer of use or has been stagnant in achieving your higher Self. The motivation is of creating space and manifesting positive forces (internal/external) to explore a new experience or deepen an exisiting relationship. Remain fully dedicated towards this intention and fully support it through its completion.
The King of Arrows (Kingfisher) is about using discernment in choices that are being made. Seeing both sides of a situation fairly and making a rational decision based on personal knowledge and understanding. The King of Arrows looks beyond the surface of a situation and primarily focuses on the underlying key issue of the matter. An acute sense of “good judgement and intellect” is of guidance within this card. Ask “how can I find the core root of truth” in a situation”?
The Ace of Vessels is about wisdom that heals, of which our intuitive ‘Self reveals to us. It is keeping the clarity and health of our emotions in balance alongside the challenges of everyday life. Creating an environment that will promote stillness and healing allows the heart and mind to rejuvenate. This will allow the Self to grow more compassionate and mindful to one’s own Self and to others.
Soul energy (inner Self) cleansing, personal discernment in situations, and healing and rejuvenating the emotions will be of the essence for the month of January.
For the month of February/Aquarius, our mid Winter journey has us focussed on ones inner insights (“Crystal Ball”).

“Insight” is looking beyond the illusions and distractions so that we can discover the potential that is hidden within us.
Once this potential has been realized, there is an understanding of what needs to be done to make this a reality.
Trusting in the inner (divine) Self is the key inspiration here.
The Ancestor (Rx) indicates a momentary reluctance to listen to our inner calling. There is a sense of apprehension that is retaining the inner Self from trusting its own primal instincts. An opportunity of knowledge awaits. It is important to continue on this spiritual journey to discover the guidance that will assist you in your personal growth. Fear and uncertainty will only stifle your own progress if not dealt with. Trust that your inner guide and protector won’t steer you wrong.
The Archer reveals the potential outcome from the Ancestor Rx card if trust has been placed. This is about taking action and initiating a direct focus toward a desired goal. Confidence and willpower is very strong at this time. Assess all possibilities in what is needed to complete this. Be imaginative and creative in your efforts which will further empower your efforts.
Revealing ones own potential through clear insight, dispel fear and uncertainty to trust your inner guide, and creating direct action and focus will empower one closer to their desired goal, will be the focus for the month of February.
For the month of March/Pisces, the end of Winter has us experiencing the culminating result of our seasonal journey.

The Neophyte is the “seeker”. The one who is exploring the deeper spiritual realms of their inner ‘Self and its relationship within the conscious realm. Through the eyes of the “Neophyte” we can focus on achieving higher knowledge.
This ending point of the winter season may become one where the inner calling of our Ancestor is to be answered. Fully express what you are experiencing and share this with others. In turn, you may find an outside mentor who can guide you toward spiritual self understanding and growth.
The Three of Bows is about the enrichment of the soul through spiritual knowledge. A new sense of security, willpower, and confidence has been gained toward the action of a desired goal. The key energy in the Three of Bows is of inner focus and balance in manifesting a successful outcome. This result can be of inspiration to those who acknowledge your efforts and become motivated in finding spiritual fulfillment within their own life.
The Ace of Stones is about the formation of thoughts and concepts, and creating a basis of a reality for them to be seen. The stone represents the external (conscious) ‘Self and the revealing of what is being manifested within. The stability of the stone is a place of stillness to have a focussed starting point to create and to release ones intentions. It is important to remain rooted and steadfast while creating ones own desired intentions.
Seeking knowledge in the understanding and connecting to the universal mind, spiritual fulfillment, and being rooted and steadfast with your intentions will be the focus for the month of March.
