LITHA SUMMER SOLSTICE “WHEEL OF THE YEAR” READING JUNE 21ST, 2023

The focus for this meditative reading is on the energies for the upcoming Summer months of July (Cancer) peak of Summer, August (Leo) mid Summer, and September (Virgo) late Summer. For this season, I chose the decks of the “Wildwood Tarot” by Mark Ryan + John Matthews and the “Witches Oracle” by Sally Morningstar as counsel guides to usher in Litha and the Summer Solstice energies.
I used the Witches Oracle as the key action for each month and the Wildwood Tarot as the directive path for that month.

For the month of Cancer/July, we are now entering the half way point of our “Wheel of the Year” journey. The days slowly begin to grow shorter and the nights ever so slightly longer. There may be a moment of an “intuitive awakening” that may shift the way the inner ‘Self has been feeling towards a situation. This is a time to nurture what is of “emotional value” and how best to preserve this.

“The Wand” is a tool used to direct energy towards a focussed intention and/or to banish away negative forces. Clearly envision what you want to draw towards you, or repel. Be mindful of your thoughts and actions as you begin to manifest what you need.
Ask “What is of great value that can be used to manifest your desired goal?
Create your personal “Wand” by using natural resources such as wood or forged iron. Attach a (wildcrafted) element of air (a feather or a crystal) or earth (pine cone). Cleanse it in salt water, then energize it with the sun’s energy while focussing on your set goal.

“4 of Stones” and “Page of Vessels” are the personal guides for the month of July/Cancer. There is a sense of emotional and spiritual protection, not from outside endangerment, but more of contemplation and healing. This is about navigating through inner feelings and knowing that there is a new beginning on the horizon.

The “4 of Stones” is that need of taking a time out to protect a depleted soul. Our personal journey will have its challenges and knowing that we will have to face these situations, we also have to guard and heal our soul when things become overwhelming. The “4 of Stones” is the reminder to honor this aspect of our ‘Self.

The “Page of Vessels” is about mediating between the conscious/subconscious realms. “The Otter” is symbolic of being connected to these worlds simultaneously. Your highly intuitive nature is the force to circumnavigating through what these realms have to offer. You are fully present and are a bridge of support when times of trouble arise. There’s a natural awareness to the ever changing energies of the inner/outer realms.

Focussed intention, protecting the soul, and having a full awareness with the inner/outer realms will be the key actions for the month of July.

For the month of Leo/August, our mid summer journey is reaching the apex of fiery energy. The days are beginning to grow shorter and the nights ever so slightly longer. I feel this time of the year as a way of celebrating the waning fires of summer. It is also the month of Lammas (the first of harvest in the wheel of the year). Has there been an awakening of knowledge and strength that has instilled a sense of growth and, if so, has it been utilized to its highest potential? Draw in the vitality of the Sun, Leo’s luminary ruler, for energetic inspiration.

“The Bell” is the sign of calling in the spirits of change. As the wheel of the year spins and brings in cyclical shifts so does the power of sound vibrations. If there is a need to change or end a situation then call upon the Universal guides. These forces are out there to assist us and you need to have trust and confidence in what the result will create. Have faith that what is being manifested will be in your best interest.

The “Ace of Bows” and “Three of Vessels” shows the creating of self empowerment and the result of harnessing this force in a moment of happiness. It is important to understand the resources that are being used to catapult your desired goal. As this is the early stage of creative energy be open to whatever comes your way as fire is always shapeshifting and moving in different directions. Let this energy become a form of inner release and celebration.

The “Ace of Bows” shows how the inner force (‘Arrow”) of the ‘Self is being inspired to create. The “Bow” is the support from which the arrow will be released to move through the process of creation and empowerment. Where is this “spark” coming from? It’s from one’s own “will” to produce a result that is of great importance. Dedication and skill will be needed during this process and an acceptance of whatever crosses during this experience.

The “Three of Vessels” is a celebratory moment of happiness and fulfillment. The results of what has been in process is starting to take a positive form and is a moment of joy being acknowledge by those who are being supportive. Dedicated work and the making of good choices has revealed things are moving in the desired direction. You are on the right path, and remember not to lose focus of this direction towards personal achievement.

Manifesting needed changes, creating self empowerment, and a moment of celebration are the key actions for the month of August.

For the month of September/Virgo, the tail end of Summer has us experiencing the culminating result of our seasonal journey.
The energy at this time is one of practicality and emotional balance. For the months of July and August, we have seen an emphasis on building creative energy and self empowerment. Now, we need to be more resourceful and simplistic on how we can best utilize these influences to stabilize us into the Autumn season.

“The Green Man” has once again graced us with a return visit!
He is the guiding force in the Ostara Spring Equinox reading for the month of Taurus/May.
For the month of September, he continues to guides us to maintain and to hold respect of the energies that have led us toward a successful outcome. Self empowerment and personal security are achieved when working with the forces of nature and utilizing this to the greatest good of one’s achievement. The snake wrapped around the “great orphic egg” is the protector of this life force within us.

“Page of Stones” and “Ace of Vessels” are influences of self fulfillment and practical living. What feeds our soul inside and out?
We are a product of our environment. The resources we value, utilize and surround ourselves nurtures and sustains our whole being.
Keep a realistic perspective on what is needed to create balance of the true ‘Self

“Page of Stones” shows the prowess venture of a Lynx in its wild habitat. Keeping a mindful awareness of any opportunity that may benefit or challenge our primal instincts. When something arises, consider your actions and skills before initiating as the “Self will be affected by these choices which will shift the conditions of one’s environment.

“Ace of Vessels” is the rejuvenating life force of water. Its energy is healing and fulfilling and gives the soul a reprieve from any unhealthy influences. Take a moment to turn inward, release any negative feelings and discover that a new cycle is about to begin. Manifest positive energy that will fill your heart with love, and shine this outward to those who you will meet along the way.

Maintaining personal growth and balance, self awareness, emotional balance are key actions for the month of September.
