DEATH (SCORPIO) – Many embrace this archetype while others fear what it means. Transformation IS great and powerful. It is also uncomfortable at many levels, but the end result outweigh the uncomfortable transformative process of purging and releasing. The creature of Death is in a mutative state of alchemical Putrefaction. The lower stage: Scorpion tail “Will to Change”, the mid stage: the Serpent “cycle of life and death”, and the final stage: the Eagle “rises above matter”. The Eagle is one of the four fixed cherubic entities within the Universe archetype representing the transformative forces of water. Above the waters of Death, there are spiraling snake embryos beginning to develop into Dragons representing power and ancient wisdom. This can be connected to the ancestral lineage of the pyramids. The skeleton is the voluntary stripping of the physical self to bare and release any karmic or useless aspects of the Self. The vulnerability is needed and welcomed to embrace a new experience. Release possession of the (ego) Self →Transmutation → leading to emotional victory.
“5 of Cups (Mars)” Scorpio in Mars. The Scorpio clash with Mars energy being overly aggressive and activating the Plutonian destructive force of Scorpio. Taking an experience for granted and using every bit of personal emotion has created an arid desert landscape of the soul. The fish of prosperity has been reduced to bones Very little remains within this desolate realm, but the potential in one or both of those somewhat battered cups can inspire us into using those resources to create something greater. Geburah (Mars) of Water placed within the “5 of Cups” is an excess use of fiery forces that has dried up any means of self healing support.
“6 of Cups (Sun)”– Sun in Scorpio the (temporary) moment of manifestation. The four elemental triangular symbols have unified into the 12 point star showing the harmonious connection of the heart with the sun. Wisdom gained through an awakening and seeing experiences in a new form and perspective, and taking it beyond the horizon. The Eagle (higher Self) has fully transformed and the harmony of the heart has been fulfilled. The barren desert from the “5 of Cups” is now flowing with nurturing water that becomes the life force of the heart and soul. One can now find joy and pleasure within.
“7 of Cups (Venus)” – Venus in Scorpio. The keyword here is ‘Illusion”. One’s sense of judgment has been bogged down with an overabundance of (possibly self imposed) distractions. There is uncertainty in this card and as was discussed. “Caution” is needed to traverse through these cups and their offerings, and accessing clear judgement. The Venusian energy is obscured here. There may have been an abundance of self fulfilling desires that ended up becoming more illusionary prospects. The awareness of the mind and heart were not fully present which caused to walk into the unknown. The Eagle’s keen judgement and perception is needed to shed light and to direct the lost soul out of the murky realm of delusion
